Senior Associate– IT Due Diligence

EY-Parthenon is seeking an IT M&A Due Diligence Senior Associate to join our practice in Chile. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established strategy practice that is experiencing exceptional growth in the M&A advisory space. Our M&A Strategy practice is seeking a Senior Associate to join our rapidly growing team. In this dynamic role, you will work with our broader Strategy and Transactions practice servicing both corporate and private equity clients, which includes leading operational and technology assessments during the due diligence phase, planning as part of the carve-out or merger integration transactions, and post-close execution management.

Role Responsibilities:

Participate in fast-paced technology due diligence engagements for private equity (PE) and strategic investors:

• Evaluate technology strategy, organization, business applications, infrastructure and controls as they relate to the operations of the business and the client’s proposed investment thesis. In addition, identify compliance, operational, revenue and growth risks.
• Facilitate due diligence site visits focused on identifying technology strategy, IT operating model and current state business processes and supporting technology
• Develop, as part of a broader due diligence team focus on technology strategy and planning deliverables for complex carve-out and integration transactions
• Produce high quality value driven diligence reports and experience participating with clients in meetings critical to closing the transaction
• Assess operational and technology investment strategies and compare respective operating models and organizational structures against leading practices and industry benchmarks
• Understand client strategy and investment priorities and turn those goals into concrete engagements and detailed proposals
• Manage project economics including track project budgets, create and deliver invoices, and manage collection process

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree required in technology or business; consulting firm/industry experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; diversity in project experience (comfortable with new subject matter/industries)
• Strong project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience, change management, strategic planning and analysis
• Strong knowledge of business process / operational consulting across various sectors including: Financial Services, Life Science, Manufacturing & Distribution and Technology (tech-enabled companies)
• ERP implementation experience; functional expertise in IT and supporting front/back office operations preferred
• Knowledge and experience working with private equity buyout and/or strategic mergers and acquisitions in the above mentioned industries
• Operational and technology experience (IT carve-outs and merger integration)
• Preferably 6-12 years of work experience in the following fields:
-Participating in business consulting and IT project-based work
-Managing complex operational and/or IT projects
-Consulting experience with a specific industry domain expertise in one or more of the following: financial services, manufacturing & distribution, software or healthcare.
• Must possess a high degree of integrity and confidentiality
•Able to travel as necessary to targets across Chile and broader LATAM
• Fluent English (spoken, written, comprehension)
